Motto: Be Prepared!

In February 2019, the Boy Scout program officially became Scouts BSA, welcoming both boys and girls ages 10-17 and allowing all youth the opportunity to earn Scouting's highest rank—Eagle Scout.

Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting program where youth build outdoor and survival skills, self-confidence, and strong ethical values through hands-on, adventure-based experiences. Scouts participate in camping, hiking, service projects, and leadership development, with a strong emphasis on community engagement, citizenship, and personal responsibility.

This is a youth-led program. Scouts elect their own leaders, plan activities, and run troop meetings under the guidance of a Scoutmaster and trained adult volunteers. Unlike Cub Scouting, Scouts BSA places increasing responsibility on the youth themselves, encouraging independence, teamwork, and leadership growth rather than parent-directed planning.

Established in 1948, Boys Troop 1555, proudly known as 'The Grand Old Triple Nickels,' has supported and inspired youth across the greater North Kitsap community—from Port Madison to Port Gamble to Point No Point—for more than 75 years.

Troop meetings are held every Tuesday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kingston Scout Hall.

Families and prospective Scouts are always welcome to stop by, meet our members, and see Scouting in action.
